At Halinells, we believe dance should be fun, inspiring, and accessible to everyone. From our youngest dancers to advanced performers, we nurture confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of dance. Students also have the opportunity to take graded exams, perform in showcases and productions, and participate in dance competitions, giving them experiences that build skills, confidence, and a sense of achievement.

Does my child need a uniform to join the ballet classes?

Once your child has signed up for ballet classes, a ballet uniform will be required. This includes a leotard, skirt, and ballet shoes to ensure they are comfortable and ready to dance.

Can parents stay and watch the class?

No, we do have a foyer area where parents are welcome to wait.

What age can my child start dance classes?

We offer classes for children from 1.5 years old.

Do we need any dance experience to join?

No, your child does not need any previous dance experience to join our classes. We welcome beginners of all ages.

Do we need special shoes for each dance style?

Some dance styles, such as ballet and tap, require specific shoes. All other classes are taken either barefoot or in trainers, depending on the style.

How do I know which dance style is best?

We can help you choose the best dance style based on your child’s age, interests, and experience. Our teachers are happy to advise and guide you.

What if my child is shy or nervous?

If your child feels shy, our teachers and students create a welcoming, supportive environment to help them gain confidence and enjoy dance.

Are there opportunities for performances or shows?

Yes! We hold a show production every other year and also offer opportunities for students to take part in competitions and festivals.
